Partner With Experience
Sterling340B brings extensive experience and expertise to the table in helping independent pharmacies optimize their 340B contract pharmacy program.
Our Commitment
Sterling340B is committed to helping independent pharmacies navigate all aspects of the 340B contract pharmacy program while helping them maximize their profitability. Even among independent pharmacies, there are broad differences in the best way to operate a 340B contract program. Careful consideration needs to be given to a wide range of details that differ between pharmacies: current PBM contracts, the impact of DIR fees on current prescription volume, cost of goods, and rebate contracts with wholesalers, brand-generic mix, cash flow management, and inventory management.
In short, one size does not fit all.
That’s why Sterling340B was started. We realized that there were very few resources to help independents understand the complexities of the program and how it could impact their day-to-day operations and profitability.

Our History
Sterling340B is part of Astrup Companies, a family-owned business that began in 1952 when founder Leonard Astrup opened his first pharmacy in Austin, MN. As the company has grown over the years, new businesses and innovative programs have emerged to address problems we faced as owners of our own independent pharmacies.
Today, the company consists of nearly two dozen independent retail, long-term care, and specialty pharmacies, as well as a family foundation focused on giving back to the communities in which our employees live and work. We are proud to be pharmacists and are committed to continuing the tradition of helping independent pharmacies thrive.
